Nudist versus Clothing Optional

nudist-versus-clothing-optional

I can’t really understand why some people continue to wear clothes in a nudist resort.

As I understand it “clothing optional” was institued, for visitors, family and friends to become comfortable with the nudist lifestyle.

Usually in about two to three weeks after that  a red flag goes up as to why people living in a nudist resort are still taking advantage of this policy. Are you a gawker?!! Or is someone making you uncomfortable and if so talk to management about your neighbors so that we do all in our power to make you feel comfortable, if it isn’t corrected it can spread and make others feel uncomfortable being nude in front of you and we all want persons to fool safe and comfortable living here, after all this is a nudist resort not a “clothing optional resort”.

Although this topic can make some uncomfortable it needs to be addressed so that those of us who choose to be nude can also feel comfortable living here we want our home to grow and prosper so we can all enjoy the nudist lifestyle.

About Biggie:
Biggie has lived at Seminole Nudist Resort for almost ten years and has become somewhat of an iconic figure at the property. His avatar is of a laughing buddha which illustrates his personality beautifully.

Yeah! Don’t cover up anything. I think everybody should shave too. What are people so afraid of that they need to hide behind the short and curlies? I can understand that you need to see everything so you can be comfortable.

    Who’s the gawker now?

My friend Biggie, it’s not them, but us also, we have to make sure that they understand, I talked with the new GM 2 days sgo, and as we talking his faced changed, I said you know how relaxing this place is don’t you, or something along those lines. He said, yea, when he comes in the gate, or is heading here it’s like nothing he knew, until he got to know us and this place, he said he was relaxed here, maybe he’s moe open to this life style or maybe not, but he got the feeling, not sure if or when he will get naked, but he understands. Now we work his butt, lololol. People have been wearing clothes longer then they have been naked, in this country more than others, so the education is what we have to do, it’s not a dirty living, it’s not a weird o living, and yes some as in all things are not in the pure state of nudism, but are in it for other reasons, but the true nudist is in it for the free sprit, and the love of nature, and the souls of their fellow nudist. It’s a choice we make, like the path in life we chose they only need to understand.

  • Is this another control issue in a place where we are supposed to be more free? I thought the clothing optional part was for people to be able to get more comfortable being nude around strangers or just in public.
We recently had three young women come to Seminole as their first visit that were not nudists, April, Courtny and Mina. All slim and very attractive women. Courtny found herself to be the target of rude remarks about her breasts size and being gawked at by men that had nothing else to look at in her direction, but her. Mina had the same breasts remarks made to her as well as being pulled into the lap of one of our in house drunks, four times, in the hot tub. April got to witness this and then said drunk came over to where we were all sitting and slur that he wanted to join our “party.” April won’t come back and the other two are cautious. Mina was clothed most of the time on her second visit and not as social. Courtny was reserved on her second visit.

Now they can read how a guy has an issue about people walking around with their clothes on. I never see one young lady we have living next to the pool walking around naked and I could understand why she might feel uncomfortable, and she’s been here a while.

We’ve decided to meet Sequoia’s friends off camp when they come through the area. We tried to get new people in and that was the result.
This post echoes the same sentiment of the guys at the drum circle yelling out to the girs dancing to take the rest of their clothes off because the guys yelling wanted to see them naked.
We won’t be inviting anymore women here.

this is exactly the kind of attitude I loathe here at Seminole. Why the fuck do I have to be naked for you, Biggie? Its my own goddamn business if I want to be clothed or not, especially around fat drunks that make lewd and lascivious comments towards my friends and I. Nudism is supposed to be about comfort and self acceptance, not policing people’s nudity.

    Lamest-post-ever.

  • I just had a huge revalation! I have noticed the AANR youth group here the last couple days and seeing that most of them are usually wearing clothes or a towel. (We have to remember that these people not only are nudist, but are part of the High Order of AANR. “The” nudists that we want to keep our good standing with by not bringing in groups that might be real fun and pay more.)
I believe this is a sign that nudism is what lies underneath. Nudism is what’s under the clothes, under the towels and whatever else people cover themselves with. So if the “real nudists” of AANR are ok with wearing their clothes at a nudist camp, everyone else should be ok with it.

  • its what’s underneath the clothes that count, don’t be superficial Biggy. we’re all nudists underneath
