Another rant from Jim
Well here at Seminole, I have stated a few times, THIS IS, AND WAS NEVER A QUICK FIX. This is a long term deal. With that being said, from the management side the new owner when he bought this place, was lead down the wrong path, and now I THINK he’s trying to get it on the right path. The new GM when I spoke with him last week, yes last week, and not since, state that he got the feeling we get at Seminole, RELAXED he even smiled about it on his birthday last week. Yes the owner isn’t a nudist, and the GM isn’t, but at least now one of them feels it. This place in 3 years has gotten 100 times better than it was, again even though the new owner isn’t a nudist. Lets face it, in this economy he has put a LOT of his money in here. Is or was it spent right he can be the only one to know this. The place has had more activity in the last year than in the last 3, is the right thing, I am not sure if it‘s right, but it is a start.
BITCH, BITCH, BITCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know if the owner reads this I haven’t talked with him, I am not high enough in the food chain, but I do know the GM does, and what a great thing to read nothing but BITCHING. Is this place perfect HELL NO, but you know what it’s our home, and I love the feeling I get done work, knowing I am coming here, it’s such a calm feeling. The nudist lifestyle is just such a soothing and relaxing one even with the misquotes. I know that when a guest leaves here most lick the people, and feel like they have a friend her when they do leave, and we have lots of them coming back, is as many as we’d like no, but with the BITCHING why would they. Again is this place perfect I say again NO, but it’s getting better everyday, and the residents here are making this happen everyday. The Managers that are here right now put more of their own time into this place, an any of us put together so on events that run late, and they were and have to get up at 6AM to open the Café’ on 4 hrs sleep a little respect is need there.
Hawk and Sequoia, I respect what you have done for us here at Seminole a lot of good, but as of late, I feel you have hurt more than help, sorry these are my feelings. This blog and it’s thousands of hits could have been the thing to bring us back, but at this time I am not sure on this either. You have given up on a basically a new and young up coming place, that could be a good thing. We can make a 40 year old unknown place into something. Yes you have been taken advantage of, and given raw deals, when did life become fair. Why can’t we turn negatives to positives, and you know what I am talking about. If you can’t or will not now help, at least say nothing please. ONE BAD thing gets told to 10 people, and ONE GOOD thing MAYBE gets told to one person. Does the Gm need to talk to you, and the people he didn’t keep his appointments yes, but that’s on him now.
This clothing optional thing everyone seems to get hooked on. Get real people, if you drink to much, there’s groups that shun this, if you’re the wrong color your talked about, if you do ANYTHING out of the NORM you blackballed, so what, they want to look, let them, and maybe if they’d try it after that, than maybe out of 100 of them, we’d get 2 or 3 nudists. That’s 2 or 3 more we didn’t have. I am PROUD to be a NUDIST, and you know if they haven’t seen it before they need a life.
A fat farm, hummmmmmm, there are many colors of people in this world, maybe in the billions, and you know what, some are tall, small, skinny and fat, some are old and some are young. Some are rich some are poor, but you know what, in the NUDIST world, not one thing of this matters, it’s the inner person that’s counts.
I could go on and on, but what’s the use you all want to destroy this place go for it, but let me tell you one thing, if this place is lost to a textile park, we will not have a nudist place to live in in south FL, chew on that.

About Kazoo: I have only been a true nudist for 2 ½ yrs now, I have always around the house for as long as I can remember been with out clothing as much as possible. Coming from the north, and being a cold area person, I knew Florida was going to be a hot place to be, so I figured, I am not attached at this moment, so why not do something for me...I haven’t looked back. |

Here’s a little reality check: I paid for this space, I spent the time out from my other online endeavors just to read some shitty post from you about how Hawk and I are hurting the place. What do you do? Clean the pool? Write a shitty rant on here after a few beers every couple weeks? What is YOUR contribution?
I built this blog so that other people on the internet could actually FIND this place which most of them can’t with the official website.
Obviously you either didn’t read what i wrote about you, or it’s your selective reading. either way, you know i don’t drink, and if i do it’s only 1 or 2, i wasn’t drinking when i wrote this and i wrote it over 3 days. Yes you have done a great job on it, and RESPECT you for what have done, it’s the negative things as of late, you have changed the title here thats your right, but maybe if your going to do thingd like this and make comments on things you shouldn’t drink when you do.
Hello all! I am new to living nude. I love it a lot, but have no place where I can socialize nude. This lifestyle is new to me, but I am enjoying it. I go to Haulover Beach every now and then, but it just gets crazy driving back and forth. I found out about the resort and would love to go and find out more information about it. Just started reading and researching about it, but I can only read so much. Rather talk to someone face to face. Not to sure about all the changes or anything that’s is going on, but any info would be great.
I would love to help with getting more people to join this resort or anything that in that nature. Currently I’m unemployed and I have time on my hands to help promote or help with anything at the resort.

Hey Rocko, Seminole is a 40 yr old best kept secert in south fl. # yrs ago it was bought and the new owner has made many upgrades to the place. The managers Pam and Ed keep the place spotless. Hawk and Sequoia, has done alot to make our perimeter solid so it’s much more private and they started this blog for you to find us. There are about 22 permanent residents here it’s rustic, friendly and quiet. The only thing i can tell you is to call at 954-473-0231, and come for a day, we have an ad in the nude times about the upcoming 4th celebration, and we going to be part of the world record nude in the water thing, so just come see us, have a great naked day.
Yeah Rocko, go see what you get for $25 a day just to get in. Feed the mosquitos while you’re at it.

Wow! I was not aware of the problems that have been going on. I finally did go to the resort one day and had troubles getting in the gate. Had to call it several times to get in. As I was driving in I was thinking to myself, “where am I?” It did not catch my attention. I’m sure there is more to the resort from what I saw.
I looked for the office, but saw a sign that said it was closed. Where was I suppose to get info?? I called the day prior the number I got from the website. A women answered and said to me that I can come by and get info, a tour, and that the resort is open from 9-9 unless an event is going on. Well I went and it was in the afternoon and like I said the office said closed on it.
I’ve been reading the stuff on here and it seems like the resort is going under. Who should I talk to, or where do I go so I don’t go through the same situation?
Sounds like Rocko got all the info he needed to get a feel for the place at his first visit. Welcome to Seminole!

Don’t worry Rocko, if you don’t go through that situation again, you’ll go through something else. It’s all part of living in “paradise”.
By the way, you want to be careful when you are on this site. It’s rumored to cause the demise of local computers.
This site was built by a Pagan chic that is being hiden here from the reservation she was taken from by a very controlling old man who is also a Pagan and getting money from casinos. They are in cahoots with the people who want to turn this place into a brothel and some people think they put spyware in this site to see what everybody is writing about them. That’s what I overheard while walking to the bathroom.

Hawk and Sequoia will be missed this winter, my wife and I wish them the best of luck. Their departure should not be celebrated by anyone who calls Seminole home, for something very important to Seminole has been lost and may never return. Another paying customer.
The management and several residents will celebrate. The management doesn’t care because they know they will make up the lost money by charging you guys a membership for the time you are here and raise your lot rent.
