Stacey, dear, this isn’t Hawk, its Sequoia, check your info. Seminole discriminates alot, most of the discrimination comes from the attitude of the residents towards outsiders that are patronizing the business.

Hawk don’t you say that seminole does NOT discriminate?!?! then why would you say i need a reality check?? Are you saying seminole DOES discriminate?? I lived at seminole WAY before you even knew of it’s existence and I know what seminole USED to be, and what I wrote is EXACTLY what seminole USED to be, so if it has changed since i left then fine but thats just a shame, seminole used to be great and if it would just stay a FAMILY ORIENTED PARK that welcomes all who are interested in good clean fun the park would become great once again. I’m sorry to hear it is no longer the place i once called my home.

hey stacey, I think you’re a little out of touch with some of the resident’s true attitudes towards homosexuality. Since your parents left, I have been witness to many a snarky comment about they’re sexual orientation. Jim says in reference to gays “but we don’t need either of these life styles here at Seminole”. That doesn’t sound exactly gay friendly to me.

I agree with Jim as far as opening the park up to swingers. Seminole is a family oriented park. As ALL of the residents at seminole know I raised Colten(my son) at Seminole from 3 days old to almost 3. He had 2 of his 3 birthday parties at Seminole and learned to swim there as well. If Seminole became a swinger park I would Never take Colten there. It’s just not a family environment. As far as everyone is talking about “gays” I can assure you that gays, lesbians, bisexual, transgenders have always been welcome. It’s not what sex you have an interest in it’s about not getting physical in public. It’s about making EVERYONE feel safe and welcome and not freaked out. Seminole is not about sex, at least it wasn’t when I was there. It’s about family’s coming together. It’s about feeling comfortable in your own skin and accepting yourself and others for what they truly are and not judging them based on the clothes they wear……

If I had a say Seminole would continue to be the family oriented park I know and love : )

Of course, I have nothing against Naked Rebel or anyone else, coming out of the closet and speaking up for him/her own self interests. On the other hand, if a general consensus is to be reached concerning which life styles are to be represented at Seminole, then someone will have to take on a role of leadership. Typically this leadership would be provided by the owner and or managers of said facility. However it seems for the moment, that the residents of Seminole have been given the rare opportunity of self determination.

I highly recommend that the residents of Seminole come together, resolve their prejudicial issues and execute a profitable plan, or start looking for somewhere else to live.

How long can you expect management to wait before they go with what they know, which by the way is textile trailer parks?

Are the residents of Seminole up to the challenge of change and is there a leader among you who can follow through? I for one, hope so.

I guess swingers aren’t welcome there…One of your residents is a swinger, because I read a profile on SDC.com that’s how we heard about your community. I was going to inquire on Tuesday about cost of space, etc. but now it looks like swingers aren’t welcome.

I think the Frenchie got a good point there. I’m wonderin why he needs the two sides to agree before they can speak for him unless he wants to be openly accepted as a swinger. I think everybody should just come out of their closet and fess up to what they are and what they want. Then everybody can speak for themselves.
Ya’ll should just put all the cool people on the east side. Thats where they are now anyway.
