A true nudist understands this statement, and as a result the nudist club was born. Some people just don’t get it!
I’d like to help this group in their transition. Your coming from a textile atmosphere, and you need to lose your poker-face.
Nudism is a lifestyle for us at Seminole. Each of us enjoys our own nakedness…not yours. Outside the club we can feel exposed, but not here.
Seminole is a refuge for me to feel free.

Why do I feel exposed outside the club? Because…I know I’m being judged by my clothes in almost all situations that I run into: in church, in court, in high society, or business. If I wore a bathing suit to church, I’d be asked to leave. If I wore a suit to court, I’d be looked at as a professional. If I wore cut-off jeans to a high society event…well I’d be snubbed, and if I wore a see though shirt to work, I’d be fired.

Your not just shedding your clothes, your shedding ideas, an attitude, and images. I think most people only get naked when their by themselves or having sex. Therefore, they equate nakedness to sex, and it shows. We can spot these people easily at Seminole. Now, I do understand you need to start somewhere, and your more than welcome to come try and get naked with us. But, try to guard your mind from the images and attitudes of status or sex. Remember that you never know who your talking to when everyone is nude. Around a campfire one Saturday night I sat next to a man who was telling a lot of dirty jokes, and had us all laughing when suddenly he said he had to leave and get up early the next morning for work. I was disappointed and said; “Who the Hell works on Sunday”? he said; “I do. I’m a priest at the —- church”.
Over the years I’ve met retired senators to television entertainers. So, if you can; open up that polluted mind from the outside, and come to Seminole to enjoy nudism in a fun loving way, and let each of us enjoy our own nakedness.
